Mega bike to stop at Hamburg’s trolley station

The next Business After Hours for the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce will also feature a ribbon cutting ceremony for Consumer’s Craft Cruiser, a covered, open air vehicle powered by up to 15 people pushing bicycle pedals.

The after-hours starts at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at JP’s Fitzgerald’s, 4236 Clark St.

The ribbon cutting of the mega bike, also known as a “traveling tap,” will take place at 7 p.m. at the trolley station near the Legion Drive-South Park Avenue-Clark Street roundabout.

Think of the bike as a BYOB limousine, where riders provide the drinks and snacks – and the power. It can be used for pub crawls and other outings in Hamburg, East Aurora, Williamsville and Elmwood Village, although it is alcohol-free in Buffalo.
