City Dining Cards, Consumer’s Craft Cruiser and Public Espresso + Coffee invite media to attend episode premiere party
Three local startups – City Dining Cards, Consumer’s Craft Cruiser and Public Espresso + Coffee – will celebrate their episode debuts on the PBS national television program, “Start Up,” with a private premiere party on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Big Ditch Brewing Company.
City Dining Cards, a customer loyalty company which helps customers discover, eat, save and earn; Consumer’s Craft Cruiser, a one-of-a-kind megacycle for groups of 6-15 passengers to enjoy the sights and sounds of Buffalo Niagara in a green, active way; and Public Espresso + Coffee, a small-batch coffee roaster, espresso & pour-over coffee shop, are featured in the third season of “Start Up,” which filmed in Western New York earlier this year. The Buffalo-based startups have experienced tremendous success thus far in the stages of their business development.
“Start Up” is a one-of-a-kind show that highlights entrepreneurship, small businesses and innovative ideas. It tells the story of those who followed their dreams and built something from the ground up. The program airs on PBS, Create® TV and World(sm), which are available online and on cable. Locally, “Start Up” will air on WNED-TV.
“The crew from “Start Up” was great to work with! Being from Detroit, they really keyed into Buffalo’s renaissance,” said Patrick Finan, CEO, City Dining Cards. “City Dining Cards was happy to be featured alongside two great Buffalo businesses and alongside dynamic businesses throughout the United States. I hope the show inspires others to start their own businesses too!”
“We’re excited to be included in “Start Up” alongside two other impressive local businesses. It’s an awesome show with an excellent crew, and it’s always great to see innovative companies in Buffalo being recognized on a national scale,” said Matt Pokigo, president and co-owner of Consumer’s Craft Cruiser. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear about the trials and tribulations of starting a beer bike! Thanks again to Gary Bredow and the team for visiting Buffalo.”
“The opportunity to film with “Start Up” and to represent Buffalo on a national level was an incredibly humbling exercise in reflection for us. To share in that experience with Consumer’s Craft Cruiser and City Dining Cards made it all the more special,” said Sam Scarcello, co-owner, Public Espresso + Coffee. “It left us more focused and energized than ever to push our business forward.”
The private premiere party will be held for family, friends and colleagues from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 17. The episode screening will begin at 7:30 p.m.
